Jenlo was kind enough to link me to the format and events for this years SuperSkills competition. I wasn’t excited about All-Star weekend, but I’m getting to that point. The YoungStars game, mostly – I mean, little Niskanen is playing in it, and that is awesome.
I have to admit that I think last year’s All-Star Game will be hard to top. Marty Turco with a microphone is awesome, and it needs to happen more often. Like, every game, kind of often.
Untypical Girls 
Yeah…I might watch the All-Stars game if I’m hard up for excuses to procrastinate, but I will definitely watch the Young Stars game. It always seems like those guys are having a lot more fun.
PS, if anyone happens to get Matt Niskanen’s autograph and is willing to part with it, I’ll find some way to repay you.

Um…I’m sure I’ll think of something. What do you want me to have him sign? He signed a box of Cocoa Puffs for us once, I’m sure he’ll sign pretty much anything. Oh, I love that kid so much.

It definitely won’t be until after the All-Star break, and the team is leaving for a western Canada road trip after ASG weekend. It actually probably won’t be until mid-to-late February.

Sweet, that means I have time to get a fishing bobber sent to me from Minnesota, and then send it to you. I feel like that would be an entertaining thing to have signed, even if it might be a bit tough to actually sign.

I was inspired by how excited he was to see his fishing bobber still hanging from his rearview mirror after they destroyed…er pimped out his car. You guys are going to get a rep for having random shit signed…but he seems like a really cool kid, and I have some friends in Minnesota who have played against him and agree.
I only have enough bandwidth to watch one, maybe parts of two games a night, so I watched the Wild game, but losing to Buffalo always is no fun, especially now that they suck.

Listening to Turco mic’d up was probably the highlight of last year’s all-star game for me. (I’m not sure if Ricky DiPietro will be able to hold up the high standards I now hold.)
Matt Niskanen is a cutie. When he scored against the Wild I actually didn’t hate him. Which is a big step forward for me.
