Guess what?
The Stars are opening Victory Park to the fans to watch all games on the big screens outside the AAC. Fans are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs, per The Almighty And Glorious Lord Of The Sweater Vest, Mike Heika.
I can tell you that Cat, Jen & I will be there on Saturday, May 10th at the AAC, and I figured — hey, there’s a lot of you out there who live in Dallas who we know via the magic that is blogging.
Basically, if you’d like to meet up, it would be a real pleasure to have a lot of the like-minded fans around; I’m going to try and work out details if, you know, anyone wants to come hang out with us.

Ladies, I found this in the comments on Heika. It’s from Stars Marketing Dept.
Thanks for your email. Coolers, food and beverages will not be allowed on the Plaza as concessions will be available for purchase. We do encourage people to bring their own chairs and/or blankets.
I’m bummed, gonna have to rethink my plans. Do an actual tailgate? But still, no mojitos during the game. :(

I’d love to ladies, but May 10th is fishing opener, so I’ll be out on the lake at 4:30 AM and passed out cold by 8 PM.

Amy – As long as you’re cheering, it doesn’t matter where you are! I like to think that my cheers from my apartment can still be heard…by people other than my neighbors.

Ugh, forgot to mention, my dental surgery got rescheduled for tomorrow morning at 9. Doc says I’ll be okay to go (as long as I don’t drive), I just have to be careful or whatever. No beer or arena food for me, which will suck if the Stars play like they did in game one.

My dentist isn’t the evilest, but, being a dentist, I do believe he’s a bit of a sadist. If you could pick me up that’d be rad – Doc doesn’t want me driving at all on Saturday.
