I’m not going to bother with the starting lineup for the All-Star Game (Jenlo reported it over at The Shootout), but I will mention that Russian is the only Dallas Star to be named to the Western Conference All-Star team this year. I think that is fucked up. So does Jenlo, and Brenden Morrow also agrees, because he is smart (he said so on the Ticket earlier, once the audio is up I’ll link it - I think he might have said “injustice”).
And now, the most insane thing I’ve heard all day (even more insane than Russian being the only Star named to the All-Star team).
Alex Ovechkin has signed a 13-year, $124 million contract with the Washington Capitals. Those numbers make my head go BOOM. Apparently, it’s the wealthiest deal in NHL history. Well, yes. Those are big numbers.
